Discovery Prize winners

Congratulations to Professor Stephen Gillespie's Infection Group who were awarded the Discovery Prize for their contribution to the fight against antimicrobial resistance.

Orbital Diagnostic's SLIC device tests bacteria for resistance to antibiotics, helping patients get an effective treatment and preventing the exposure of bacteria to antibiotics unnecessarily. The prize will help the team continue to develop a point-of-care device to challenge for the prestigious Longitude Prize.
